Allan Ricketts

A native of Torbay, Allan Ricketts is a traditional musician and visual artist. He is a singer and multi-instrumentalist proficient on the octave mandolin, banjo, accordion, and pedal steel.
Allan began his career as a very young performer on the Newfoundland Folk Festival’s Neil Murray stage and went on to a life of music, releasing two very well received cds: 2005’s “Allan Ricketts” and 2009’s “Rivers” which received an ECMA nomination for Roots Traditional recording of the Year.
He has appeared on a wide array of festival and concert stages and his currently preparing his third release.
