A founding member of iconic Newfoundland bands Connemara and The Punters, Jason has performed and recorded with some of Canada’s foremost musical talents like: Roger Howse, Pamela Morgan, The Plankerdown Band, The Graham Wells Band, The 7 Deadly Sons, Great Big Sea, Seamus Creagh, Pierre Schryer, and many others.
In January 2016, he released Connection, his second solo project. The CD contains a number of original songs, traditional folk songs and 2 re-interpretations of local songs. Backed by a stellar cast of the local music industry, the cd highlights Jason’s strengths as performer, producer and technician. He also released Trail of the Caribou, an original song about NL’s contribution to WW1 vis the Royal Nl Regiment. He produced a video of still images for the song and performed the song at the Beaumont Hamel Memorial in France on July 1 for the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme, a career highlight.
