2020 NL Folk Festival Cancelled

May 1, 2020

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the board and employees of the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Arts Society are announcing the cancellation of the 44th Annual Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival, originally scheduled for July 10 – 12, 2020.

We commend the efforts of our government and community in slowing the spread of the virus in the province, and are committed to doing our part to ensure the safety and health of our community. Yesterday’s announcement of the Provincial Government’s “Foundation for Living with COVID-19” plan shows that we still have a long road ahead of us, one without summer festivals this year.

We look forward to coming together again when it is safe to do so, and are working on other ways to celebrate our culture in the meantime. We thank our funders, sponsors, partners, volunteers, artists, and fans for your continued support.

Please keep visiting our website at www.nlfolk.com for future programming, as well as following @NLFolk on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Ticket holders will be fully refunded, and will be contacted directly as of Monday, May 4th. If you wish, you may choose to convert all or part of your purchase to a charitable donation to support the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Arts Society in maintaining our operations. You will be issued a tax receipt. If you do not receive an email from Ticketpro, please contact tickets@nlfolk.com.
