The Broadside presents the Song Seekers!

We are so pleased to present some of this excellent material on the Broadside in advance of the show opening later this week. Thanks to Pamela, Petrina and Ruth for stopping by on an evening of epic wind and rain…seems somewhat fitting….

Song Seekers follows the incredible journey of Elisabeth Bristol Greenleaf and Grace Yarrow Mansfield, two remarkable women who played a pivotal role in collecting and preserving Newfoundland’s rich folk music traditions in the 1920s. SONG SEEKERS weaves the narrative of Greenleaf and Mansfield’s adventures with performances of classic folk songs from our province’s esteemed canon.

The Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Arts Society acknowledges and appreciates the support of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and ArtsNL, as well as the Horwood Law Group and Canadian A/V.
