The Folk Arts Society offers a wide range of events throughout the year to support the promotion and preservation of cultural traditions. These include annual highlights such as the Folk Festival and the Holiday Wassail, as well as regular programs like Folk Night, Songs & Yarns, Folq Fund events, and Young Folk at the Hall. Additionally, we host numerous workshops and events designed to engage the community and celebrate folk art

We are pleased to bring you our Young Folk at the Hall program in St. John’s from January 25rd, February 1st and 2nd! This program was started by Fergus O’ Byrne to provide an opportunity for young musicians to meet and share in the fun of playing music together and it has been an invaluable part of the cultural development of young artists over the last 20 plus years. Sessions will be held at the Lantern from 2:00-4:30pm on on Saturday, January 25th and 2:00-4:30pm on Saturday, February 1st, with the finale concert on Sunday, February 2nd at 2:00 pm. Space is limited so register soon!
