We are pleased to bring you our Young Folk at the Hall program in St. John’s from January 25rd, February 1st and 2nd! This program was started by Fergus O’ Byrne to provide an opportunity for young musicians to meet and share in the fun of playing music together and it has been an invaluable part of the cultural development of young artists over the last 20 plus years. Sessions will be held at the Lantern from 2:00-4:30pm on on Saturday, January 25th and 2:00-4:30pm on Saturday, February 1st, with the finale concert on Sunday, February 2nd at 2:00 pm. We are pleased to be offering a FREE fiddle workshop to be offered by the incredible Emilia Bartellas of the Dardanelles! This workshop is open to anyone under 19 who has a few tunes under their belt already.

The Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Arts Society is BEYOND excited to be presenting Equinor’s Newfound Talent Contest Finale at the Majestic Theatre in St. John’s on June 27th, 2024. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:00pm. This event will have FREE ADMISSION, so we invite you all to come and celebrate the massive amount of young talent our province holds!
