The Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Arts Society is BEYOND excited to be presenting Equinor’s Newfound Talent Contest Finale at the Majestic Theatre in St. John’s on June 27th, 2024. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:00pm. This event will have FREE ADMISSION, so we invite you all to come and celebrate the massive amount of young talent our province holds! This is a Folk Music Camp for students ages 7-17

We are pleased to be offering our Young Folk at the Hall program in Twillingate from March 21st to 24th! This program was started by Fergus O’ Byrne to provide an opportunity for young musicians to meet and share in the fun of playing music together and it has been an invaluable part of the cultural development of young artists over the last 20 plus years.

We are pleased to be offering a FREE fiddle workshop to be offered by the incredible Emilia Bartellas of the Dardanelles! This workshop is open to anyone under 19 who has a few tunes under their belt already. In this workshop, Emilia will be teaching a new tune, working on bow techniques, and discussing ornamentation. You don’t want to miss this one!
