Presented by the Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Arts Society, Folk Night at the Ship is St. John’s longest continually running live music event (it started in 1974!) and regularly draws a sizeable crowd each Wednesday night; sometimes 100 souls and rarely less than 50. The music ranges from solo songwriters, traditional Newfoundland, blues, klezmer and all styles in between.
We like to end off each month with a few tunes around the table for a casual evening of music. Each evening has a designated host and all tune players are welcome to join regardless of skill level, so feel free to sit in and learn a few if you like.
