SqueezeFest will celebrate and explore many faces and musical possibilities of the accordion, the instrumental main-stay of Irish/Newfoundland traditional folk music. Both skipper and sonny alike will delight in this old favorite taken in new, exciting directions. This special folk night featuring Dave Penny & Gracie Reid is presented in partnership with Sound Symposium at the link below.

What a wicked show here bys. New folk and old folk from the 60s to classic trad, these two are just excellent.

Professional folk musicans here folk fans. Classic tunes, impeccably delivered.

Launching beers and festivals by kicking it off in the usual fashion with the fleet of flute, wet of whistle and the sharpest of wit, yer man Gerry Strong!

A folk musican through and through, Jim can bellow a shanty, haul out a reel on the box and dance a step or too as well. He’s also one of our finest songwriters and storytellers and if you can find a corner of the Island that he hasn’t been to a dozen times…well…good luck with that.

Jim Payne live at the Ship folks. Aren’t we lucky at all.

We like to end off each month with a few tunes around the table for a casual evening of music. Each evening has a designated host and all tune players are welcome to join regardless of skill level, so feel free to sit in and learn a few if you like.

Ol Billy Bob Boy and his bull fiddle makes the Folk Night debut! Come on out and stomp along!

Man, what a fine folk duo here tonight! Last time they played it was one of the finest sets of classic tunes, original numbers, first class musicianship and the vibe was all fun and genuine love of music was front and center. Just brilliant really.
