This duo began by chance, when Craig Young and Andrea Monro met and realized that the music they could make together would be memorable and profound. Sharing lead vocals and harmonies in some beautifully arranged Newfoundland-influenced country-folk music, it’s Blue Star Juniper!
Accordion, guitar, mandolin, banjo, bodhran, harmonica and vocals – these boys have it all! Luke Mercer, Ty Simms, and Alex Mercer are The Salt Beef Junkies, local youth trad and folk band that we are BIG fans of. Catch them on The Broadside for a free show, with a guest performance from Allison Walsh.
The Broadside presents one of St. John’s best brother duos, Dave and Geoff Panting!
The Panting Brothers have been part of the Newfoundland and Labrador music scene since the early 70s and are veterans of national and international touring! These guys have been a part of some pretty influential groups and have garnered various awards, so it goes without saying that we are so folkin’ happy to have them on the show!
This Monday on The Broadside we are being blessed by the presence of Jodee Richardson & Nicole Hand, a musical duo whose sound is a blend of their individual strengths and results in a variety of instrument combinations and genres.
They’ve brought their set of well-known tunes to large theatres and intimate rooms – and now they are bringing their unmatched repertoire right to your screens at home for free!
Tonight on The Broadside we are so pleased the present the fantastic Jenny Gear and the man himself, Sandy Morris! This is quite the duo about town, and if somehow you haven’t heard them yet, tonight is your chance!
