Holiday Wassail

Wassail

Wassail (noun)

1: an early English toast to someone’s health
2: a hot drink that is made with wine, beer, or cider, spices, sugar, and usually baked apples and is traditionally served in a large bowl especially at Christmastime
3: Revelry

The Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Arts Society’s annual Holiday Wassail is a wonderful celebration of community and song during the long winter season, a family event where the community can get together and sing carols led by some of your favourite folk performers.

Hot drinks (cider! mulled wine! hot chocolate!) and snacks will be on hand for purchase, and to keep you toasty inside as you enjoy the old time cheer of this beautiful setting.

The Wassail is an integral part of our off-season fundraising and this year we’re taking the cheer a step further with a special indoor/outdoor event at the idyllic O’Brien’s Farm.
