Wassail (noun)
1: an early English toast to someone’s health
2: a hot drink that is made with wine, beer, or cider, spices, sugar, and usually baked apples and is traditionally served in a large bowl especially at Christmastime
3: Revelry
The Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Arts Society’s annual Holiday Wassail is a wonderful celebration of community and song during the long winter season, a family event where the community can get together and sing carols led by some of your favourite folk performers.
We’ve got a date and venue for the 2026 Wassail! Saturday, December 12 at 2:00pm at the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist!
We’re working on an artist roster, so watch this space for more information. It’s guaranteed to be a wonderful festive celebration full of songs and stories! Tickets go on sale soon!
