Lifetime Achievement Award Nominations 2021

The Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Arts Society is accepting nominations for the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award.

Since 2002, the NLFAS has bestowed the award on individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the folk arts in Newfoundland and Labrador. The recipient is presented with a cash prize and a physical award at the Annual Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival.

Nominations must include a biography detailing the proposed recipient’s contributions to the folk arts of the province, and contact information for the proposed recipient. A CV and letters of support are encouraged, but not mandatory. It is preferable that the nominee be available to receive the award in person or virtually during the summer of 2021. The NLFAS Lifetime Achievement Award is not awarded posthumously.

Please submit nomination packages to office@nlfolk.com no later than 5:00pm, Monday May 24, 2021. For a list of previous award winners, please visit: https://nlfolk.com/folk-arts-society/.
