The Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Festival presented by Equinor is a three day celebration of community, culture, music, and craft! Our province is renowned for its contributions to the musical fabric of Canada and we do all we can to wave that flag high and proud.

Presented by The Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Arts Society with a host of volunteers, sponsors and partners, the Festival is a summertime tradition that has been shared by thousands.

Festival-goers and musicians enjoyed a weekend of celebrating Newfoundland & Labrador’s unique culture with great traditional and contemporary music. Spread across the TD Main Stage, the TD Neil Murray Stage, Craft Council Craft Tent, The Francophone of Newfoundland and Labrador Tent, the Dance, Oral Traditions, Instrumental, Homemade Jam, and the Quidi Vidi Beer Tents, there are
interactive workshops where attendees can collaborate. They can learned a dance, a tune, a tale, and artistans and crafters share and showcase their incredible skills. This is a place where peoples with disablilities can be hosted by accessibility features throughout Bannerman Park, and an inspired team. Local businesses and organizations can thrive creatively in building an experience for their neighbours.

This is a friendly festival that attracts people from all over the world, it is heralded as one of the province’s premiere cultural events, and is a honed as a point of pride for those involved.

THANK YOU to MusicNL for this grand recognition, the festival is proud to partner with MusicNL and their members each year. We would also like to acknowledge the tireless efforts of our NLFAS board members, and staff.  Of course, we could not achieve such scale and opportunities without our sponsors, Equinor, TD, and others, along with our community partners that help to build a neighborly experience in Bannerman Park for the week of the festival, and for many other events throughout the year.

Another major thanks goes to our volunteers that join our folk family each and every year, and congratulations to one of our own, Arlene Churchill, for achieving the MusicNL Volunteer of the Year Award.

Finally, more thanks goes to the festival goers, and to the artists who we are all celebrating. Congratulations to all performers, nominees, and award winners at the MusicNL Awards in Twillingate this year.
